Holiday Shopping is Officially Here!

This weekend in Bozeman, come see me in person at the Brick Breeden Field House for the Made in Montana Fall Fair! You can find me at booth 175 against the wall on the opposite end from the entrance. I don’t often get in to the Montana Made Fair events, but after raising a bit of a stink about it after many years of denials, I somehow miraculously ended up at the tippy top of the waitlist for cancellations. While I do still have my doubts regarding the jurying process at these particular events, I am grateful to have the opportunity to have (barely) made it in to what are typically well attended shows during what will likely be my last year as a vendor. More on that at a later date!

There is VIP access to the event Friday, October 18th from 5-8pm with a $10 donation required for entry. On Saturday, October 19th, there is an early-bird entry from 9-10am with a $5 donation to enter. After 10am on Saturday, entry is free for all guests and the show runs until 4pm. It is suggested to attend the VIP or Early Bird time slots if you are a business interested in wholesale opportunities with small businesses like myself!

All proceeds from donations benefit Montana Shakespeare in the Parks!

Mention this newsletter and automatically get 10% off your total purchase!* Not applicable to wholesale orders*.

You can check out my artist profile here along with other vendors who will be present at this years event. I hope to see you there!

Dry Skin Recap

Last weeks newsletter was a bit of a heavy hitter, so much so that I decided to split it into two separate emails. This week, I want to take you on a deep dive for a special product that I think deserves a bit of spotlighting during these dry upcoming months.

Butter Face isn’t your average moisturizer, but is a hybrid between a delicate herbal salve and an occlusive that aims to revitalize your skin’s barrier. Let’s get into the ingredients that set this powerful & ultra gentle product apart from the rest.

Starting off strong with cold processed, virgin, and certified organic oils like Hemp Seed Oil, rich in Omega 3 & 6 fatty-acids which serve as essential building blocks for your skin. Fatty acids are known to soften and soothe rough, dry, and inflamed skin. Hemp Seed Oil is densely packed with nutrients like Vitamin E & Carotene (a precursor to Vitamin A), as well as Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Iron, and Zinc. Talk about food for your face!

Skin-mimicking Golden Jojoba Oil is infused with fresh, native, and ethically wildcrafted Montana Rosehips & organically cultivated Gotu Kola. Loaded with antioxidants like Vitamin C and E, the nutrients in Rose Hips can help fight free-radical damage caused by the sun. Jojoba Oil is natures closest oil to the sebum your skin naturally produces. It absorbs fully and plumps from within, without leaving you feeling greasy.

Gotu Kola is an ancient ayurvedic herb touted for its uses in inflammatory skin conditions and anti-aging benefits. Known by the latin botanical name, Centella asiatica has been a rising star in more recent popular formulations in Korea’s booming skincare market. Abundant in Triterpene Saponins and Flavonoids, Centella is known to tone & tighten skin while stimulating collagen production and fighting free-radical damage.

Calendula is another antioxidant packed herb that fights free-radical damage, and often tops any list touting skin healing herbs. Calendula has potent lymphatic properties to promote fluid circulation in swollen or puffy tissues, and acts as a magnificent antifungal when applied topically.

Yarrow is a profound antibacterial herb with astringent properties that kill off harmful bacteria while tightening and toning the pores to prevent pathogens from entering the skin, reducing acne and other bacterial skin conditions.

Hemp Flowers, unlike the seed oil, are rich in phytonutrients and anti-inflammatory Cannabinoids like CBD that tell your skin to cool it while also reducing pain associated with rashes, breakouts, or minor wounds. CBD can also help increase hydration while regulating oil production.

One of mother natures most delectable, familiar, and diverse herbs, Lavender helps kill off bacteria, soothe inflammation, and calm redness and irritation. The Lavender in this formula comes straight from an organic lavender farm in Montana.

This product is 100% essential oil free, except for those naturally occurring in the whole herbs which are imparted during the infusion process in safe quantities, making it a truly exceptional product for those with the most sensitive skin types.

Not looking for a skincare product? Butter Face is truly versatile and is our favorite product for rashies, ouchies, and other inflammatory skin conditions.

As promised, the online discount code will be included in all future newsletters until it expires!

Sadly, I have been fervently trying to locate some Choke Cherries to deliver the tasty recipe I formerly promised, but am not having any luck in my area. Instead, I plan to put together a different immune support syrup recipe with more accessible herbs for you all at a future date! Stay Tuned.

Lastly, our Hurricane Relief Raffle prizes are all well on their way to me, and I should receive the donations by next week. Once I get all of the prizes photographed, I plan to release the rules for entry into the raffle and keep everyone in the loop across my platforms!
